Harvest Kidz Children's Church

During the worship service, age-appropriate lessons and Bible-focused activities are offered for children ages 4-10. At 10:45 a.m. children begin the hour worshiping in the sanctuary with their parents. Prior to the pastor's sermon, the children are dismissed to meet in the classroom area with their teachers under the direction of Holly Burks. The children's service includes a Bible lesson, a hands-on activity or craft and snacks. Volunteer teachers are always needed. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Holly Burks at

We believe music is a glorious gift from God and a vehicle for praise and worship. The goal of our music ministry is to support the scriptural and seasonal themes of our worship services and at the same time provide opportunities for people to share their talents with others as they glorify God. .In that regard, music in many forms serves a significant purpose in our services and activities at Harvest Time.
Congregational singing plays a major role in our worship. Each Sunday our Minister of Music Jerry Starnes, accompanied by pianist Kimberly Hawk, leads our congregation in a variety of the church's favorite traditional hymns and choruses. With many years' experience between the two, Jerry and Kim form a unique team, always in sync and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our song services.
Special Music Talents: Harvest Time is fortunate to have many throughout our congregation whom the Lord has blessed with special musical abilities. Accordingly, we at Harvest Time consider it incumbent on us to provide ample time at each service for others to share the fruits of their talents. Those attending our services often comment about the blessing they received from the special music.
Gospel Music Concerts: Harvest Time is no stranger to southern gospel music enthusiasts throughout the Midwest. Such top-name artists as Gold City, The Kingsmen, Mark Bishop, Brian Free and Assurance, The Dove Brothers and Tony Gore .... to name a few .... find themselves booked at Harvest Time on a regular basis .... with capacity crowds. Harvest Time is considered by many as a lighthouse for southern gospel music in the region.
Heartland Gospel: Speaking of southern gospel music, Harvest Time is affiliated with the "Heartland Gospel" radio program aired between 6:00 - 8:00 a.m. every Sunday morning on WJPF AM 1340 / AM 1020. Pastor Todd Hawk is your host for two solid hours of commercial free southern gospel music programming.
The nursery exists to serve families by providing care for children under the age of four. Volunteers serve on a rotating schedule. Our nursery department is open during service on Sunday morning. We believe you are never too young to experience God in a very real and exciting way. Nursery volunteers are needed. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Lisa Drummond at (618) 942-5154.
